The thing we love most about the running community is that it is such a unique and diverse group of people. We are so honored to have runners and walkers of all ages participate in our events! Just because you're getting older doesn't mean that you can't still be active and push yourself further than you ever thought possible.
We want to introduce you to a couple that will inspire anyone who reads their story. They have set world records in their age group! They have run some of the biggest races in the world and they have a goal of running in 35 races in 2020, and get this.... they're over 70 years old! Jeannie Rice and Gene Dykes stay focused on their goals and continue to train and work hard even in their seventies. Don't let age, or anything else for that matter keep you from getting out there and reaching your goals. You may not be breaking world records...but you can break YOUR records. We hope this story inspires you to keep working hard and never give up! Read the full story here: https://www.runnersworld.com/runners-stories/a31126578/never-too-old-to-be-serious-runner/
